Raising Healthy, Happy Doodles for Families in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada & California. Founded by Laura Hipwell Harris, Boise Doodle Co. began with a simple belief — that every puppy deserves a family that loves them for life.

Laura & Rick’s Story
A Family Rooted in Hard Work and Heart

Laura grew up on a small farm and ranch along the Snake River in Idaho, where early mornings, animals, and a strong sense of responsibility were part of everyday life. It was there that her lifelong love for caring for animals began — a passion that eventually grew into Boise Doodle Co.

After discovering that Poodles and Doodles were the perfect fit for families with allergies, Laura decided to focus on breeding these intelligent, affectionate, and low-shedding companions. She found joy not just in the dogs themselves, but in helping families find the perfect match for their home and lifestyle.

Her husband, Rick Harris, is the steady hand that keeps the farm running. He manages the outdoor care, maintains the property, and works alongside Laura in training and socializing the dogs. Together, they operate Boise Doodle Co. as a true family partnership — blending years of experience, patience, and care into every litter they raise.

Consumers want to buy from responsible breeders that put the dogs first. A responsible breeder will not only Love and take great care of their dogs but also show great care and compassion when placing their dogs in a forever home. When you buy a pup from us, we consider you part of our Hollow Hill Family. We take the time to get to know our families and we hope that you want us to be a part of yours.

I truly believe that we don’t deserve dogs, however I’m certainly grateful that God chose to bless us with them.

Laura grew up on a farm and ranch here in Idaho along the Snake River. Growing up in this environment taught her many important life lessons, such as how to work hard and be determined. It was there that her love of animals was planted and grew to become the passion that it is today. It is this passion for animals and determination that led Laura to dive headfirst into the world of AKC Poodles & Doodles. Having significant allergies to pet dander can throw a shadow on any that want to add a furry friend to their homes, but the loving temperament and lack of shedding made both Poodles & Doodles the perfect fit for Laura and her family.

Having found her perfect fit, Laura now seeks to help you find the perfect fit for you and your family. From poodles and goldendoodles, to sheepadoodles and bernedoodles, we at Northwest Pups strive to match puppies with their forever homes. We believe that the love of a dog can change a life, and strive to maintain the highest practices of breeding and care for our dogs while they are with us and seek to find families that value the same. 

Dogs don’t make judgments about physical appearance or abilities, they don’t care how big your house is or what you do for a living. They care about the quality of your character and your capacity to love. They love us unconditionally and without judgement.
